I have enjoyed these since I was a kid, when my Grandfather would bring them home in a brown grocery bag. As an adult, I discovered that no one knew where he got them from, until I bought a candy cane at Graeter’s one day and I knew the flavor, it took me back to my childhood. I then checked the wrapper and found out that they were made here in Cincinnati. I wrote a brief letter to the company explaining the story of my Grandfather bringing home the peppermint pieces and asked if Doscher’s is possibly where he got them from. I received a letter back, along with a small brown bag of peppermint pieces from Mr. Clark confirming this. I actually still have the letter filed away somewhere. The peppermint pieces/candy canes have the best flavor. The French chews are awesome, especially the vanilla. Thank you for such quality products.
